Tradizionacasa, the story of a Tradition. The hospitality offered through the recovery of the places of our origins.
Our story began in 1967 when our parents, Rina and Piero, newly married at the time, embarked on their first experience in hospitality with a summer season at Rifugio Chiavenna, at Alpe Angeloga.
The experience that left the deepest mark, however, was the opening and management of Rifugio Stuetta, located between Madesimo and the Passo dello Spluga. It was an intense period, rich in emotions and stories that are still part of our family’s memories today.
During her retirement years, our mother Rina lovingly and passionately ran B&B La Specola, one of the very first B&Bs in Chiavenna. Today, the property has been renovated and transformed into a holiday home under its new name, Elvezia La Specola.

From this experience, and thanks to the restoration of our family properties—passed down from generation to generation, in some cases for centuries—we are now able to offer our guests holiday homes rich in history, immersed in the surrounding landscape and deeply connected to our roots.
Our ongoing commitment to renovating these spaces, while respecting the local architecture and traditions, allows us to provide welcoming and thoughtfully designed environments, ideal for an intimate, authentic, and truly original stay.
Paolo, Sarah, Lola and Giulia.
