The flat covers a total area of 50 square metres and offers two separate bedrooms, one of which is accessible via an internal staircase, sleeping a total of four people.

The entrance hall and living room feature a large open-plan kitchen with dining table and chairs and a sofa area with fireplace, TV and access to the small terrace. Wi-Fi internet access is free of charge. Outside, there is a shared courtyard used for car parking, with a reserved parking space.

On the ground floor of the building, you will find the renowned wine shop “La Specola”, run by Sara, and a shop selling delicious fresh pasta, “Pasta e Delizie”, run by Riccardo. Chiavenna can be easily visited on foot. Don’t forget to buy the famous Brisaola and enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the typical “Crotti”.

Elvezia La Specola is located in the ‘Pratogiano’ area, famous for its ‘Crotti’, typical restaurants with natural cellars.

Chiavenna, a historic town in the centre of the Alps in the heart of Valchiavenna, thanks to its privileged position between Lake Como and the ski resorts of Madesimo and St. Moritz, offers visitors a wide range of attractions, from culture to fine dining and an endless world of sports.

HISTORY

The La Specola building was a famous hotel built at the end of the 19th century, which remained in operation for about 30 years.

Over the years, it changed hands several times until 1941, when our grandfather, Giuriani Giuseppe, bought it and it became the family home.

During the Second World War, after the armistice of 1943, it was requisitioned by the Fascist militia, sealing the fate of many inhabitants of the valley. At the end of the hostilities, it was returned to its rightful owners.

Today, in addition to our flat, other owners linked to our family live in this building.
