Elvezia La Specola in Chiavenna, consists of a kitchen area and living room, a double room and another double room on the mezzanine, a bathroom with shower, and a terrace. We offer free Wi-Fi.
On the ground floor there is a laundry room.
A common courtyard is at your disposal to park your car, and you can use the common garden.
The ground floor has now been converted into a great fresh pasta store and a well known Winery.
Our house is centrally located, within walking distance from the station and the famous “Crotti”.

HISTORY
Elvezia La Specola Holiday House in Chiavenna is an apartment on the first floor of the historic building known in Chiavenna as “La Specola“.
At the end of the nineteenth century, this characteristic house was built as a hotel and was given the name “Elvezia La Specola”.
Our grandfather Giuseppe became the owner of the house in the early forties, and since then it has been our family home.
WHERE WE ARE
Elvezia La Specola is in the characteristic village of Chiavenna, situated at a level of 330 m and offering tourist infrastructures, shops and a cosy historical center. The Chiavenna valley is surrounded by beautiful nature.
Numerous excursions on foot or bikes, will enrich your holidays with a discovery of the alpine landscape.
The territory of Valchiavenna and Valle Spluga is characterized by alpine lakes and pastures only reachable on foot, and is littered with typical houses in stone and intercalating wooden structures named “Carden”.
The “Via Spluga” and “Via Bregaglia” are historical itineraries dating from the Roman era, uniting the Swiss city of Thusis with Chiavenna, over the Splugen and Septimer passes.
